The Audio ASIC Design Team is responsible for development of the Next Generation Multimedia Low Power Audio Subsystem embedded in Mobile Phone and Tablet Processors SOCs. Candidate will learn details of a complex embedded audio system, including the functionality of all the building blocks, overall system architecture and performance, power profiling and customer use cases. Gain exposure to and participate in further developing and enhancing leading edge HW Design and Verification processes and methods.
The successful candidate will join the Audio ASIC Design Team with a role focused on ASIC implementation.
This role involves tasks such running design rule checks for Lint, CDC and analyzing the results.
Other tasks include simulation, synthesis, lower power validation (CLP), static timing analysis (STA), formal verification (FV), DFT insertion and power analysis.
The specific tasks assigned to the successful candidate will be a function of when they join the team, the state of active projects and overall needs of the team.
There may also be an opportunity for some front-end design work (RTL design) from time to time.
The candidate will use cutting edge ASIC tools and be exposed to advanced design techniques, methodologies and flows.
As the candidate grows into the role there will be opportunities to innovate new processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines or to achieve established objectives.
The candidate will need good problem-solving skills to select the best option when multiple approaches are possible and the deal with incomplete or conflicting information.
Possess internal drive and a keen desire to learn on the job.
Exposure to ASIC design through school courses and/or internship placements is required as well as some experience with Verilog or VHDL RTL design (for example through school projects).
Experience programming using languages such as C, Java, Python.
