Our team of health professionals includes employees, doctors, researchers, learners and volunteers that provide the health care or services you may need. This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.
Under the direction of the Manager, the Respiratory Therapist applies their knowledge, skills and judgment in the provision of diagnostic, assessment and therapeutic modalities to assist in the management of cardiorespiratory and related disorders in collaboration with the physician and other health care professionals. The respiratory therapist also participates in education of patients, families and other health care providers.
Successful completion of a Respiratory Therapy program from an accredited institution
Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care Exams
Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
Current certification in BCLS and ACLS
Ability to work in a Hyperbaric environment required and Hyperbaric Medicine experience preferred
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours of Work
Long Assignment Part-time Position 60% - 45 hours bi-weekly
Beginning November 30, 2020 with an expected end date of June 20, 2021

$27.8114 - $38.1246 hourly
