<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">In this position, you will develop your professional skills, establish relationships and explore how Mechanical Engineering functions either in our upstream (oil sands and in situ), downstream (refinery) operations, Fort Hills major projects, or business services.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">You will use your expertise to <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">:

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participate in developing solutions to technical issues and verifying the implementation of these solutions
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Understand and optimize current operations and develop, maintain and implement a long-term depletion plan and make forecasts by using numerical simulation
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop tools for tracking process data for analysis and metrics reporting
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Review daily production data for accuracy and bring together in data management systems
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Prepare and present summary reports, performance metrics reports, graphical representation and presentations, as required
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Build and assist with developing production profiles to support long range plans
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Optimize completion designs of pumps, instrumentation, flow controls and tubular

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Current enrollment in a formal co-op or internship program in 3rd or 4th year Mechanical Engineering at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">(Attach your transcripts with your application and clearly indicate the length of work term for which you are available)

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Working knowledge of process system software, MATLAB, ASPEN Plus, 2D Drafting using AUTOCAD, and/ or process system modeling using HYSYS
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Extraordinary accuracy, attention to detail and ability to analyze data
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The ability to perform mass and energy balance calculations
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The drive to continually seek knowledge and understanding: you strive to understand the systems, processes and hazards in and around the workplace
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> You will be based in Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray or Fort Hills
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> This is an 8 – 12 month work term, starting in January 2021
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> Some of these positions have been identified as safety sensitive
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> Relocation support will be provided if approved for the position, we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible candidates
